get_iplayer does not support downloading news/sport videos, other embedded media, archive sites, special collections, educational material, programme clips or any content other than whole episodes of programmes broadcast on BBC linear services within the previous 30 days, plus episodes of BBC Three programmes posted within the same period.

Set your download path (only needs to be set once unless you want to change it again), eg: get_iplayer --prefs-add --output="C:\DOWNLOADS\GLASTO2020" To download ALL glasto content in one go (I reckon about 300GB): get_iplayer --pid b007r6vx --pid-recursive
If on Windows 8 just search for web pvr on the start screen. The screenshow below shows what you will basically be loading up. This will basically start a server running on your PC which will pull data from the iPlayer, you should see that your web browser also opened the web interface for get iPlayer, this is where you will control everything
